Lotus and Coast are ‘Inspired by Nature’—drawing respectively from the elegance of the blossoming lotus flower, and the natural beauty of where land and ocean come together. The distinctive sizes, surface contours and textures of the components of MAKARLU® Lotus and MAKARLU® Coast provide unique sensory input, fascial grip, and treatment focus to the skin, fascia, and muscles.
The all-in-one functionality means Lotus and Coast are suitable for the whole body, from the head to the feet and anywhere in between.

Variable Firmness
The innovative nesting domes design lets you adjust the firmness of the large and medium domes. This variable firmness is ideal for accommodating individual preferences, or to use on different areas of the body. Simply add or remove inner domes to suit. Coast domes are made with a softer grade of material, and have a slightly softer feel overall as compared to Lotus.
Compact and Portable
Take your Lotus or Coast with you—whether to the studio or gym, work or home, or while travelling. MAKARLU® Lotus and MAKARLU® Coast come with an embroidered drawstring carry bag made of heavyweight black canvas. Featuring French seams, double drawstrings, and two inner pockets—there’s a pocket for the pair, or travel with a single set and use the other pocket for your possessions. Our bags were inspired by the elegant simplicity of ‘kinchaku’, a traditional Japanese drawstring carry bag or pouch. Kinchaku is a small bag worn like a purse or handbag, typically used for carrying around personal possessions like money, lucky charms, medicines and cosmetics.
‘Kin’ means fabric.
‘Chaku’ means to put on.

Made from high-performance thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).
Soft to touch and latex free, TPE is a premium quality elastomeric material which is often used for watch and fitness wrist bands.
Rocker Base
Crafted from real timbers—Australian Spotted Gum, East Asian Bamboo, American Walnut, or European Ash.
We’ve chosen to finish our timbers with a high-grade natural hardwax oil to penetrate and enhance the natural colour and grain of the timbers. Non-toxic and made from natural raw materials, the finish is food safe, toy safe and MAKARLU safe!
Magnets
Cleverly in-built within each of the domes, the neodymium magnets used are grade N48, and 10mm diameter x 5mm thick.
